Neurogenesis – 5 Nootropics to Generate New Brain Cells and Prevent Cognitive Decline
Neurogenesis is the growth of new neurons in the brain. As humans age, development does not stop. Within the past few decades, studies have shown that the process of neurogenesis can help to protect against long-term cognitive decline, aids in removing symptoms of depression, and has numerous other memory related benefits.
There are some nootropic supplements that you can take in order to increase neurogenesis in your own brain. In combination with certain lifestyle practices, it is useful to utilize these tools for your benefit now and in the future.

Nice video!
Now considering adding lions mane to my morning coffee (instead of breakfast) that has C8 MCT oil, Chaga (adaptogen that also stimulates bile production, useful on a low carb diet) & Ghee (no milk proteins, gives it a butter scotch taste and provides butyrate).

Do you have any research to back up these claims? How do we know that neurons are being generated? How many neurons do these various nootropics produce, respectively? Lastly, does growing these neurons, in and of themselves, improve cognitive performance? I've read that it's more so the number of neural connections that make us sharp, rather than the number of individual neurons.

Before taking supplements look up how to muscle test. It’s saved me in the past I didn’t know how and i was taking things that made me feel worse or I didn’t feel any benefit from and wasted $

Pregnenolone is another substance that might be considered.

where would you recommend buying noopept?

Best way to boost neurogenesis is regularry taking microdoses of psychodelics like psylocibin or lsd. Less effective is using nootrops (cerebrolisyn, noopept).

Lion maneee iss outstanding
dystoniaify
I have major anoxic brain injury to my bilateral basal ganglia! I have severe secondary Parkinsonism, dystonia, chronic fatigue and depression. I'm only 37 and more rigid than many 80 year okds with Parkinson. All western dystonia treatments stopped working and I'm crippled in a wheelchair. I also have executive dysfunction. I have unrelated, extremely expensive post lasik ectasia. I'm in poverty. I trued Stamets' triple extract lion's mane improved my depression, but it was too expensive to take the full dose to see if it would help my movement disorder. Where do you suggest I buy it? I saw it in powder firm for cheap at nootropic depot, but it is only water extracted could you alsó recommend where to buy the other products in this video? Al It's also cheap at the nootropic depot, but I am not sure if cheaper is better. However, I'm poor, have no one, lost everything and no more western treatment left. I used to be an occupational therapist and people like me end up in nursing homes. I was extremely physicalky active! Please help me by giving me advice. I was prescribed Adderall in 2016 and for the chronic fatigue and it's destroying my life. I'm on 20mg er and 2 doses 10mg xr/day. I want to go off of it cold turkey with the help of nootropics as trying to slowly taper has been hell. I'm alsó on 2mg clonezapam per day for my dystonia for 6 years, but it recently stopped working. Botox also stopped working. Medical has given up on me since day one since I'm one of a handful of people alive with complete, bilateral putamen infarction. I also have atrophy in my cerebellum,, medial frontal lobes, and bilateral optic nerves. The hardest part is that i have so much to offer but I'm too exhausted, locked up with pain, and most importantly too poor to heal myself. I srufy the brain, food, and ways to work around my dead neurotransmitter system. I want to help others, but I can't keep doing this alone anymore. I want to live!! Thank you

Beta Glucans don't make it through the blood brain barrier, so beta glucan content is irrelevant. Only the terpenes can pass the blood-brain barrier. Polar solvent extraction from the Lion's Mane is a must if you want neurogenesis.

Thanks for the great insights. I have been studying nootropics for a long time. I was very upset when I bought Lion's mane from Paul Stamets of all people and later found out that it was entirely derived from mycelium and not the fruiting bodies. I called their company and they gave me some complete bullshit about how it's just as good but it isn't and it is false advertising because they advertise it as lion's mane mushroom not lion's mane mycelium. Paul evidently went over to the dark side and I felt zero effects from mega dosing his powdered bulk extract product.
