Best Nootropics for Traumatic Brain Injury

This video is about how to use natural nootropic supplements to treat the symptoms caused by concussions and traumatic brain injury.

TBI can result in impaired cognition and memory, loss of vision or hearing, personality changes and depression. Affecting not only those that suffered TBI but connected families and communities.

While decades of research and clinical studies have searched for pharmaceutical solutions to treat TBI, no prescription medication has been found.

And most of the clinical research on dietary supplements and traumatic brain injury have been done with animals. Very few have been conducted with human subjects dealing with TBI.

But the success shown in these animal and human clinical studies reflect the real life experience of those treating their own TBI or concussion with nootropic supplements.

In this video you’ll discover how to recognize traumatic brain injury. And how traumatic brain injury and concussions affect your brain.

Including axon injury, cerebral circulation disruptions, glutamate toxicity, glucose and mitochondria, and NMDA receptors.

And you’ll discover 11 nootropic supplements shown to be effective for supporting recovery from concussion or traumatic brain injury.

And near the end of this video I’ll offer a suggest nootropic stack for concussion and traumatic brain injury.

But a cautionary note to start – traumatic brain injury, and even a concussion is serious. If you whacked your head hard enough that you feel some of the symptoms described in this video, go immediately to the ER and get checked out for bleeding in your brain.

We’ll wait right here until you get back …

i want to share some things that helped my father a lot after he had an accident and injured his brain and spine, i dont know what of all these helped more, but the most probally is that the stack of them did it. ALSO, this is what helped HIM, do NOT take the same things just because you read it in a comment, this all were perscribed for him by 3 of his physicians (a nutrologist, a pain specialist and me, a neurologist/neuroscientist)

I know that he takes a lot of nootropics together, but he used to take 14 different pharmaceuticals a day, and now he takes just 8 pharmaceuticals, also he didnt took all of these at same time…

    -Triacetyluridine and Uridine
    -Zinc(as BioZinc)
    -Ashwagandha (as sensoril)
-DL-Phenylalanine (this helped him to reduce his opioid dosage)
    -Semax, Selank and Syntetic NGF
-Agmatine to help with pain and sleep
    -Bacopa Monnieri (as Synapsa)
    -Acetyl L Carnitine
-Berberine with Milk Thistle (he used to take metformin)
-a mushroom mix, it contains an heavy dosage of Lion’s Mane and regular dosages of Chaga, Cordyceps, Reishi, Agaricus Blazei and Turkey Tail.

I heard that using DMSO is the #1 thing to use after a brain or spine injury. Also, after stroke as some say it can save a person from long term effects. Anyone had any experience with this? Thank you.

Back in 2003 I suffered a major TBI as a result of a fainting spell. I was misdiagnosed as having a seizure. The misdiagnoses was caught after switching doctors. But then I was cut loose, "there's nothing we can do to heal the brain injury you suffered." Thank God for my Chinese doctor and my nutritionalist. I haven't been back to a western doc since. Your presentation was very informative and spot on! Thank You for posting.

    Hello David,
How does rhodiola rosea + l theanine + caffeine stack look to you? I do bodybuilding and I plan on adding those three nootropics to my current supplementation. I am already taking ashwagandha, creatine, omega3 and vitamin D. Would that all together combined be a good stack or an overkill? Do you recommend throwing out/adding something to it?

    Thank you!

I got a rough concussion a year back, wasnt better after for 2 days. Went to the store and bought Resveratrol, Ashwaghanda and Lions Mane. I got better pretty quickly after that. Not sure what did it, out of what I took but I'm happy resveratrol was on this list. This channel is excellent.

Thank you so much for ALL your Videos. They have been such a help. Because of your Recommendations I often use NOW Supplements because of their 3rd party Verification.

This Video especially helpful. Often we don't realize how dangerous Concussions can be.

What I am thinking after hearing half of this video is that there is a possiblity that my child's hyperthyroidism might have been triggered due to trauma, an be both physical and emotional . She has Down Syndrome and usually people with DS have HYPO thyroidism. She went many years with an untreated hyper thyroid before being diagnosed and treated. Yearly thyroid check was not done for many years and I believe she had hyperthyroid at least 5 years before having severe physical symptoms. At an after school program when she was 3 she "fell off the bus" and hit her (landed on) forehead. Medical care was not given. Later she was laid on top of by overweight adult to force to nap/sleep several times before I saw this with my own eyes. I was furious and was told s "self report to childcare licensing would be done by Exec. Director. A month later I was in a meeting with Extend A Care business MGR being creatively kicked out of program as my child sit outside that room slamming her head onto a steel door while caregivers ignored her! This was about 14 years ago. Her speech and communication skills declined (before going to that after school program she was learning and using ASL ) After this she also began having severe social anxiety. Sorry to clog up your comments. My child needs help, and I have C-PTSD and need help too. Thank you for all of this information! With you and Pub-Med I now have HOPE!
