The Nootropic Benefits of Medicinal Mushrooms

In this video you’ll discover the nootropic benefits of medicinal mushrooms.

You’ll also learn how to buy genuine nootropic mushrooms and not be fooled by the slick and misleading marketing tactics practiced by many in this part of the dietary supplement market.

Of the 14,000 species of mushrooms that have been identified, only 2,000 are edible. And of those 2,000, only 270 mushroom species have potential therapeutic value.

But of the 270 medicinal mushrooms, only 6 are considered nootropics. And provide some type of benefit for your brain.

In this video you’ll discover the nootropic value of those 6 mushrooms. Including how they benefit learning and memory, anxiety, fatigue, and the potential for Alzheimer’s treatment.

You will also come away with dosage recommendations and which type to buy for each of the 6 medicinal nootropic mushrooms available to us today.

Then you’ll learn how to identify a genuine nootropic mushroom supplement. And how to avoid misleading marketing tactics that could trick you into buying bogus mushroom supplements.

Any negative effects reported ? .. I remember reading of rumored ill health of the Chinese team and a connection with cordycep use. As a parasite, would there not be a potential for growth if source was not sterile?

There aren't many youtubers that can make me think about buying the products they're talking about, you didn't just do that. You also made sure we knew what we are buying, now that's what i call an expert

I had been taking a mushroom mycelium supplement thinking it was doing some good. Had no idea it was a waste of money! So cheaper supplements are fake for sure. Real mushroom supplements are probably expensive but could still be partially fake. You get what you pay for. It is sad there is so much fraud in the supplement industry! ? Thanks for your information sir! ?

Thank you so much for yet another great class on what I’m most interested in; optimizing my brain and overall health… I’m using Time Health’s “Mushroom Complex 6,” with almost the same six mushrooms as mentioned in your video. The only difference is where you mentioned Oyster, it has Shitake added to its formula. The label tells me (Fruit body extract – 30% polysaccharides – 10% Beta 1,3; 1,6 D-glucan)… No fillers, no binders, no artificial ingredients… Would you approve of this complex?

I know common supermarket brown or white button mushrooms are not nootropics, but I heard they still have great health benefits in helping to balance harmful estrogen out of the body and helping to boost low testosterone in men as claimed by a very popular body builder researcher on YouTube that has millions of followers. Have you heard this too?

Hi David, thankyou for making consistently informative videos about Noots, would you be able to please cover a video on Skullcap, notably the American and Chinese strains, the American strain is supposed to have more of a calming effect and the Chinese strain a more energising effect. Thanks!

I have to say as a long time viewer that I prefer the more personal feel of your in home filmed videos, green screen digital backgrounds feel cheap & distracting particularly with heavy edge bleed present..either way though thanks for your beautifuly laid back & well researched presentations 🙂

Thanks for the information. I can certainly use some help with my cognitive abilities! I'm 63 and memory is a problem. I also wanted to see if anyone has some suggestions for replacing alcohol in your life. I've been an evening wine drinker for many years. I don't think I'm an alcoholic because I quit several weeks ago and didn't have any negative effects. I just find I miss the ritual of opening a bottle of wine and having something to look forward to that relaxes me. Someone told me phenibut would do that but from my research, you shouldn't take phenibut very often. Certainly not on a nightly basis. I don't want to drink alcohol anymore as it doesn't help my memory and my favorite drink (dark red wine) often gives me a headache. TIA for any suggestions.
