Use the OTHER 23 Hours of Your Day to Improve Your Performance & Health || MBPP Ep. 772
We get so caught up in our workouts, or programs, our bro splits, all the nuanced subjects of lifting that we don’t even think about the rest of the day. If we’re in the gym for an hour, we have 23 other hours to improve our sleep, nutrition, walking, sitting, resting, standing, the list goes on and on and it all leads back to improving our fitness and health AND our performance in the gym.

Question. Should we refer to pre-2020 Olympic records to see what the difference between a Male and Female was like?

I really liked something Wes Watson said the other day about how he's going to give his son allowance to track his macros, exercise and read self help books. Appreciate you guys ? If I have a kid I'm going to do the same.

I used to work with Voghelpohl and we were talking about training one day, I was surprised when he said he never deadlifts except at competitions
Dan Barbatti
open mouth eating bugs me .. but not as much as slurping soup… pretty much the same reaction as Nsima for open mouth eating LOL
Alex
These guys are so awesome

If you want to work the jaw in a full range of motion, you have to chew with you mouth open….otherwise its partial range reps.

Yes, sloppy and loud eaters are gross…unless it’s Brad Pitt in Oceans Eleven of course

@powerproj, i never leave comments on anything online, but wanted to let you know how grateful i am for your podcast. you've helped me develop patience on my fitness journey (climbing, lifting, running, etc.), challenged my all-or-nothing tendencies and helped me identify and address patterns of disordered eating i've had since i was a kid (type 1 diabeetus tends to do that). i appreciate you guys!
Ed
I completely get all the ads, especially at the beginning, but I can't be the only one who thinks the intros are way too long most of the time, right? Sometimes it's like 3-4 minutes and other times it's 2 on top of inconsistency with ad durations. Have you guys ever considered just doing the same amount of time each full podcast? e.g. 2 min intro (still too long) and 2 min ads?
Mykel Mellen
What's with the sudden uptick in people hating on Power Project?
Is it the ads? ; Because everyone does it nowadays ?
I've seen criticism towards certain guests and what they practice/"preach" but I feel like people project too much on to groups like this. There's a disclaimer at the beginning for a reason, and it isn't just to "cover their ass".
Correct me if I'm wrong, but no ever says, "follow our advice and the advice of our guests and you'll become 'x'."
Mike Litoris
the intros are too long, don't show too much…

Dog if yall ever eat in my ear like that again ima snap my phone over my leg

Shorter intros and definitely no chewing into the mic, thanks for the feedback.
Cody
Does anyone have the latest promo code for mind bullet? Thanks
Eric Buffington
I’ve heard you mention the gloves for using your fingers to get between your toes but I can’t find anything online that seems anything like what your talking about. Do you have a product name or website. Love what you guys do! Thank you!
Anthony Martin
Hi Power Project ! I have a question for Andrew, i have listened to a bunch of your podcasts in a row. And in this one or the one before you were talking about deep breath work. I am starting to dipping my toes into it. Which one do you use (Equal breathing, Box breathing, 4-7-8) ? Any app recommendations?
Thanks in advance Andrew.

I've been waiting for this convo. (About working all day, and you guys fucking off all day). I get discouraged because I work 12 hour shifts, and an hour drive each way. 14 hours. Plus I work in a boiler house so it's 150°+ and 10 stories high. I sweat and climb stairs which I like to think helps. But man after I get home I'm drained. Plus size is I usually get time to watch the podcast at work ??. You keep me motivated either way.
Ryan Leedham
One thing Mark mentioned that I think is so important across all aspects of learning is to not be so open to the point of throwing away your intuition and discarding all of your previous knowledge; makes you start to second guess/ discourage yourself.
Chris Audiosmackpro
Bro he’s not lying about the chocolate place. I went to Hawaii and they are known for their chocolate peanuts ? PAUCE
