So maybe we should eat s variety of meat and organs too? That's where we get healthy nutrients and fiber too. If I feed gut bacteria with carbs they will crave it and I won't be able to resist carbs. This is a big no.
I must admire the way you articulate your cases, smart.

Less or no processed food is key as well.

Everyone, even those not really interested in nutrition, should read the Blue Zones book. It's amazing and let's us know there is no secret fad diet that drives health but an overall way to live.

The more variaty of fiber, more strains of bacteria= MORE HEALTH , i like keto, though this is a clear fact,to me, it's clear, you can eat to have a happier gut,and still be low carb, not keto….cause adding few tablespoons activated brown rice or legumes to salad, that's still low carb, not keto, and more diversity of bacteria.

So sweet potatoes are good? I’m still not a fan of fiber thou at all but will include sweet potatoes…rice very little maybe once a week

I think that a good nutritional rice is better than ice cream, cake, soda pops and sugar slochies, fast food hamburgers with processed cheese, hydrogenated seed oil anytime.

Resistant starches have changed my entire eating regime and I love it. I eat all kinds of beans, rices, potatoes white and sweet, barley and other grains, quite a bit of carbs, some gluten but not too terribly much. I eat them at room temp or slightly warmer and the starch breaks down really slowly and impacts insulin a lot less. Plus eating fiber-rich foods or at least supplementing with something has also helped. I'm vegetarian and needed to be able to eat beans and quinoa's and stuff like that to help with satiety, variety, convenience, proteins etc. but when I started at first I ate them freshly cooked and hot. I gained over 20 pounds rapidly. Low carb vegetarian was joyless for me. Found info on starch resistant carbs and tried it out. Weight came back down and mental health and clarity went back up. I feel and look great (for 46 and bearing in mind that I'm still unattractive and that can only be fixed so much lol) and I'm off all but one med, all markers are great, no inflammation related aches and pains, I recover from workouts more easily, haven't dated in years and years but I feel like if I did my libido and associated parts would work great, just all in all combined with poignant supplementation has been a wonderful approach to eating and health. On occasion a piping hot meal is nice but I've gotten used to letting it cool. And I tossed the microwave and heat things up on the stove to preserve nutrition and just little changes like that and I feel good again.

The reason they live so long is they don't eat animal proteins or saturated fat. Only something like 1% of their diet is pork, no saturated fat = no problems.

Dr. Steven Gundry usually says no blue zone eats the same food. However, all blue zones have these in common: food which is high in polyphenols and fibers feeding good bacteria in the gut, food that doesn't spike insulin, and very little animal proteins.

Not only Japanese it’s the Asian culture in general eats lots of carbohydrates like Rice because we usually eat white rice with fish, bone broth, loads of greens healthy fat good proteins and the food is not processed in anyway and the proteins are not fed with corn or greens or some sort of hormones.

This is actually based on a post-war study, when most of their pigs had been killed. Qkinawans eat a ton of pork.

1. Okinawans eat more seafood than meat or chicken. The seafood includes a great variety of seaweeds.
2. They love a lot of pork, too.
3. A great variety of vegetables at every meal. The sweet potatoes are just one of many leafy and root vegetables
4. They eat a variety of dishes at every meal. BUT… and this is important: small portions of each.
5. Miso soup at virtually all meals. Also tofu &/or other soy product.
6. They keep physically active well into their old age
7. Low stress culture.
8. A relatively clean and unpolluted environment
