Kava has been pretty awesome for me. After dealing with mold illness about 12 years ago it left me with some residual multiple chemical sensitivities that would flare up old symptoms for me. When I take kava consistently I have almost zero sensitivity to chemicals and way better ability to focus. It's basically become my weapon for flair ups. Seems to have permanently changed the limbic part of my brain in the right direction I feel. I use mostly the traditional or micronized methods.. have not tried these capsules you promoted yet, because i figured they wouldn't be as potent.. maybe I'm wrong

250mg doesn't do anything for me at 30% Kavalactones. Don't feel a thing. Is the % too high or dose should be higher? Worried about taking too much and adverse liver effects

No, I haven't used Kava extract before. I'm not taking any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medications, but I am in the habit of taking supplements. One supplement I take every day is Aphro-D. It has tongkat ali, schisandra berry, he shou wu, and pearl powder. I don't know if the kavalactones within kava extract will negatively interact with these herbs due to activation of CYP450 enzymes. I'll check out the kava extract in the description below and consider trying it out for myself to find out how it affects me.

I have a friend who is hooked on noble kava, he loves it. But it does cause headaches apparently, and can reduce appetite, and unfortunately you can't drink alcohol with it, which he does, so now he has edema in his foot..
High dose niacin sounds like a better bet.

Works really well for me, I use the Thomson brand tablets as they are pure, no additive. I only take them when I need so the effect stays sharp.

There are many non-responders to Kava. I tried two different high quality products and they did not work for me personally.

First time I ingested it was at a ceremony. Never heard of it before that. First, the effects were like at low doses, mild sensation of we'll being, then eventually it started feeling like euphoria and eventually went into extacy and then, then it got real intense… ??
All of the sudden a bluish light swept me away, sort of like came up from behind and swirled me away into a world similar to ayahuasca yet totally different. Intense yet calm extacy, similar to MDMA but no tension, just relaxation and similar to Ketamine but not like a dissociative. First time I realized I have the ability to help others heal in those state of consciousness as I can navigate and discern and assist if need be.

My experience is that kava tea is much better than extract, but perhaps there are different kind of extracts than what i have tried. Kava is amazing, one of my favorite herbs. Makes me feel blissful and calm. Important note though, NEVER take too much and always consume some fat before taking more because overdose experiences are horrible and sometimes you notice all the effects only later, after consuming some fat because some kavalactones are fat soluable
