    Recent studies show nicotine isn't anymore addicting nor dangerous than caffeine. Both caffeine and nicotine are very medical. Vaped nicotine is less addicting than burning it. What makes cigarettes addicting is that nicotine is higher in dosage in tobacco than it is occurring in any other nightshade form (tomatoes, eggplants, etc). It's also more addicting because thousands of chemicals are purposely added to make it far more addicting. #GoVegan #FailedRiggedDrugWar

    Alcohol is officially the worst drug for the body and the worst one for the ones interacting with the user, officially so too. (;

    Jesus he talks a bit of shit. Nicotine is the main if not only addiction agent in cigarettes. You can totally get addicted through chappies. I myself am. I do not smoke at all but use it instead of rittalin. It has been studied in some clinical tials where it has been shown to enhance cognitive durability especialy in disorders like alzheimers etc.

    Great thing it hasnt been proven yet to cause cancer , cigarretes has something like 7000 ingredients of which 70 directly leads to cancer.

    Nicorine also doesnt seem to cause heart problems but if combined with other meds this may become dangerous(opoids etc, both effect brain dopamine levels). Getting of it leads serious irritability almost neurotic feeling.

    Effects sleeep a bit especially if used too much. After using you built a tolerance also, use quite a lot now compared to start. Does help studying a lot though

    I am 100% addicted to coffee!!!!! I was surprisingly addicted to cigarettes. Cigs and coffee – stimulants!!!!!! I did quit the cigs and now only use nicotine infused toothpicks. I love them! I just ordered a pack that has like five flavors and I can switch between peppermint, orange, spearmint and cherry. Im assuming these also have nootropic properties and thats why i can focus at work.

    “Doesn’t work like that for me”, i love you joe but just wait a year after usage and we’ll see how that changes. That’s what every nic user says at the beginning

    Nicotine isnt addictive for me. Ill have a nicotine pouch every now and then only when im at work, never when i have a day off or after work. Ive never had the feeling of needing to have nicotine to get thru my day. Its just a nice little buzz to have now and then

    I gotta disagree. Nicotine isn’t super addictive but it’s seriously hard to quit. It’s dangerous to portray it as non addictive because it really is, once your body is used to it withdraws are waaaaaay worse than caffeine’s

    This is an interesting topic because for a few years I’ve been addicted to Juuls, NJOYs, puffbars, etc., and finally quitting now!!! Anyway, cigarettes or snuff or nicotine pouches never did anything to me or at least not enough to be satisfied. I believe the vapes are more addictive than cigarettes and snuff and all that. Makes you wonder what is really in them… are they using the same chemicals as they use in cigarettes, but more?? There’s so much we DON’T know, hence the reason I decided it was time to actually quit.

    Some of this true and some of this is bullshit. Let's be clear nicotine is highly addictive but in its freebase form like in common eliquid, its less addictive than in cigarettes. Because cigarettes have all these chemicals which enhance the absorption meaning your getting more into your system and faster making it more addictive. It is a nootropic but compared to caffeine its lackluster. Caffeine is far less addictive than nicotine and lasts longer

    Wait, Joe said, "nicotine is not addictive. Nicotine is a mild sedative like caffeine. Caffeine is VERY addictive." Are y'all missing his logic? Lol. Everyone has a different capacity to handle stimulants. Be careful friends.

    I use to smoke cigarettes and chew a little I quite 9 years ago and never want to ever smoke one again because of the 5,000 chemicals in it. But I read small doses of nicotine are good for Alziehmers prevention later in life. What is the safest way to consume Nictoine as a nootropic?

    SNUS (especially swedish snus with tobacco is great), better cleaner nicotine much less chemicals than in a cigarette and doesn't have negative health effects

    I'm pretty sure nicotine is both a nootropic and addictive. But the biggest factor for any addictive substance is route of administration. That's why injecting heroin is worse than snorting it, and snorting crushed Ritalin is worse than swallowing Concerta even though both are methylphenidate. So the problem with smoking is that you're inhaling smoke, which is what causes cancer… And also that taking it through the lungs makes it cross the blood brain barrier so quickly. I've found vaping and even gum too addictive, but with patches… Never been tempted to up the dose, and never had the slightest difficulty or withdrawal symptoms when stopping. But it helps me focus on work and get sh*t done way better than Adderall. (I have ADHD.) If you want to use nicotine for focus (and it absolutely works; the neurological mechanisms have been very well-studied…there's also some evidence it may help with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, depression, weight loss…) and you want to do it in a safe and healthy way, I think the patch is the way to go.

    PS: I've heard some people say they like gum more because it's more like smoking… But if you feel like patches don't do it for you, it may be because you're chasing the pleasurable rush of your brain being flooded with dopamine, due to the nicotine reaching your brain so quickly. If you want to use nicotine as a medication/nootropic rather than an addiction, the fact that you don't get that with patches is a feature, not a bug.

    i beleive tobacco has moai effects which may be part of why they are sometimes more addictive. there's also an arguement to be made tho that vaping is much easier and can be done everywhere and for long periods of time which makes it hard to kick too

  • This Myname

    Just switched from vaping 5% nicotine to using on pouches. Started with 8mg and then 4mg. i probably use 8 pouches a day. One of the benefits is the cost, 20 pouches go for $2.35 as opposed to a three day supply of vape sticks which for me was $24 every 2-3 days.
