Haven't tried nicotine salt yet, but at the same time I don't see the point. Salt should be smoother compared to freebase which would mean I would probably need to increase the nicotine level to keep the throat hit. Nicotine delivery would be faster which in theory I wouldn't be vaping as frequently, but I can imagen myself not actually vaping less, which would lead to a nicotine "overdose". Freebase is good enough for me.

Hey i started vaping about 2 years ago when i was in rehab.
I had to quit speed( not meth just amphetamine sulphate).
Vaping has definitly helped me quit speed and tobacco by replacing the habbits whit a healthy er one.
I started at about 12mg and just went down to 1mg.
You have helped me alot in my vaping journey.
    Thnx ?

Hi Wayne, regarding this topic, one side of me agrees with the TDP in Europe restricting the max nicotine content to 20mg/ml. The 50mg/ml NicSalts ejuices is getting a lot of people more and more addicted to nicotine, including a large portion of the vape community who were vaping the average 3 mg/ml juices in high wattage devices. However, mixing with 10ml bottles at the 20mg/ml strength is tedious and way more expensive as well. For instance, making a 250ml bottle of ejuice at 3mg/ml will require you to open 5 boosters costing about 3 USD a piece. The last few months I have been mixing all my recipes with NicSalt nicotine, but at a more sensible 3mg/ml strength for high wattage and about 15mg/ml for pods. Maybe you could share with me where to buy it cheaper, as you mentioned during one of your live videos a couple of weeks ago… Should I look on the dark (web)side perhaps? 😉
Best indeed not to encourage the high dosage juices I'd say too. The 501 scale, no doubt about it bro, thx.

I totally agree! I have the scale you mentioned… The first thing I realized when I started with the scale is the length of time… Amazing difference! ?

I found it much easier and faster if I install either droppers or Yorker style twist tops on all bottles that don't come with them. (2oz,4oz and even some 30ml bottles)
With as much as you mix, I am surprised that you don't do the same. So much more convenient for pennies.

Wayne I agree with the mix salts bro. I feel the same way I caught myself raising my levels up when I tried nic salts. I am back with freebase and back to my normal 3mg. Crazy it was that hard throat hit and little buzz. It's honestly like someone chasing that high almost screw that shit. Hey if people like it so be it i started vaping to kick the icky sticks and maybe stop everything further into the future. If you don't care then you do you if you do then I agree with Wayne stay away.

3 scales and all were faulty.a further two which contradicted each other. Can’t trust them anymore. 5 mins to wash up with syringes and at least my mixes taste right again. Personal preference. There’s no right or wrong.

Hi Wayne, I started to use nicotine salt about 5-6 weeks ago. The main reason was (and is) that all my liquids seem to taste really harsh. I used a 48 mg/ml base before. After I heard that salt nicotine gives you a much smoother vape I had to give it a try. Well…yes, the liquid seems less harsh to vape but not that much. I still got that sharp, scratchy, irritating feeling in the back of my throat and the lungs. It's not a pleasant cape at all. As you certainly know nicotine salts should not be used in sub-ohm devices. I vape MtL only. My liquids are 70% VG, 30% PG and 5 mg/ml nicotine (no matter if it's salt or freebase). Lately I tried mixing both of them (3 mg salt nicotine and 2 mg freebase – makes 5 mg/ml). But it's still harsh to vape. I don't know…? I'm quite new to vaping in general, let alone mixing and wicking (started vaping in Feb. 2018!). Also – some people mentioned an increasingly hurting lower back since they use salt. Now I'm concerned because my lower back also gives me a lot of pain – so much so that it affects my sleep. But could the cause be the nicotine salt? Really? I'm somewhat in disbelief because I don't have an explanation how this could be possible.Any ideas? Help would be very appreciated. And as always: great video.

Ohh, there's so many little things you can do to speed up your mixing – not even expensive most of the time. * Get some sauce bottles, maybe 1litre and 500ml – one for VG one for PG – makes it really easy and quick to top up bottles. * Get a test tube rack, maybe 30mm holes as that tends to be a good size for upto 60ml bottles – but it stops them mixes getting knocked over, helps you keep track of them – I got one with 20 slots and am thinking of getting another one! – just hot glued the bugger onto my desk. * Look at all the cosmetic storage options for liptstick and stuff, clear plastic shelves are great for storing concentrates. * Get a scale, got a couple of syringes but get a scale – and honestly I spent about $20 on mine and its fine for the quantities I mix – I stick to 60ml bottles and usually make a concentrate for 4 x 60ml…. that is because I then take my concentrate and top up with PG, to 60ml… then it's a case of adding 15ml of that to a bottle and topping up with VG – quite efficient way to work for my quantities. * Consider VG based nicotine… just saying – I find it easier to mix with and easier on the throat. * Get a label printer… think about making your own logo and label everything nicely… nobody wants a nasty label on their eliquid, take some pride and people will apreciate it more. * Watch live mixing every friday.

i get what youre saying, but i love nic salts. ive been able to bring my vape time WAY down, like i mix my EDVs like every 2-3 months and a 30ml of nic salt juice will last me 2 months and i also have my freebase. i dont think theres much to worry about nicotine vs everything else( burning cotton, vaping more and more juice, dripping, etc…) when i have one pod system and one 10w 10nic mod, i dunno what the science is going to say, but i think less vape time is gonna be the key

  • Michael Meyer

Yea I messed up just like you said. I started at like 19 mg free base nic in a little ego setup when I discovered it. Got down to 6 in a dripper n rta n squonk 3 never really gave me that hit then I got a pod, started at 30 now I'm at 50 so fuck me right. Also I am a recovering addict too so I just really like it and don't feel like quitting or I'd be smoking again.

Great video buddy. I hear you loud and clear on nic salts and I absolutely agree with your concerns. I've recently quit smoking, coming from over two packs per day. The only eliquids available were 3mg nicotine and, I have to be honest, they've done the job even tho I could feel a lack of "something".. and this was nicotine, for sure. So when one day I found a 6mg nic (60/40) eliquid, I directly buy it, without even looking at the flavor. I couldn't really feel that much of a difference compared to the 3mg so I start thinking I'd eventually need more. BUT… the more the time passes and the more I'm thinking that I SHOULD NOT try to increase nicotine dosage and try to decrease it instead. I have tried a zero nicotine eliquid for over 24hours and I must admit I couldn't handle it so well (i could be just a psycological matter I guess) so I had to go back to nicotine after less than two days. I've tried twice to do this, twice I had the same feeling (unconfortable) and I had to go back to nicotine eliquids. Nicotine is highly addictive and it is not so easy to get rid of it. Vaping has helped me so much on my journey on quitting cigarettes, even more than I could actually imagine. In fact, before I've started vaping, my hope was to be able to reduce my consumption of cigs… when instead I have actually cut it to zero! This has pushed me up ALOT, increasing my confidence that staying away from cigs is possible even for people like me who have been addicted for a very long period of time.
So now, even I feel I'd like to try nic salts and higher dosage of nicotine eliquids, I will try to stay away from them.
I've recently tried for the first time a 12mg nicotine eliquid (the highest concetration I've tried) on a small 10ml bottle and, even I've tried it on an MTL tank, I could feel a strong throat hit and I still cannot finish it. I think it is great to have the possibility to experiment with different dosage of nicotine (something that we cannot do if we smoke regular cigarettes) but I believe that the goal should be to REDUCE the nicotine assumed DOWN to ZERO , so to be able to even quit vaping (if so you wish, of course).
Thanks again for your very informative video, keep it up, much respect. Peace!

Dafuq. Sterilize? Bro i use a 1ml for less than 1ml amount. 3-5 for other. I wipe the needle. And go for another flavor. My shit is stashed in a box. So when im done. I put the syringe back in their bag. And im done. Same speed as you… (?) Sterilization bro… i would be willing to race you with syringe. Lol

  • phil lop

i will be graduating to a scale, but honestly i spend 1 hour mixing enough ejuice to last me 3 months. not really a sense of urgency to buy a scale to save me an hour unless i make 30 different ejuices (which i do not)

  • M K

That doesn't look much better. He's getting liquid all over the scale which will need to be cleaned after. He's taking forever to do it with that dropper. You have to spend the time putting the liquid in the dropper, might as well be in a syringe. It looks annoying dumping liquid from a huge bottle into that little 15ml. Scales get de-calibrated all the time. I make my liquid very fast with syringes. It is not messy at all, I am very clean about it. My VG bottles also do not have a dropper cap, I would have to buy a bottle specifically for that. It also looks like his VG bottle only holds like 120ml in it, I can go through that very fast. Refilling that bottle would be a chore in itself for me. I would also have to buy a scale. That's more things to spend money on. I'd rather buy more flavors with my money. With syringes I make a bottle in less than a minute. Happy with my syringes. I think it's more of a preference rather than what's better. This is just an excuse for them to sell more products.

What a fascinating video. Many Thanks. I use Salt nic to get me through work but your video found very interesting. I'm trying to lower my nicotine and agree freebase is the way to go. I do believe nic salts have a place to help people off Cigarettes. I couldn't cope at start with freebase. Salt nic would have helped my journey. But everyone's different. Watched mainly as looking to mix and tried with all the faff of syringes but with scales seems no brainer. Anywho thanks for video which was probably years ago but I found interesting. Thank you

80% of the withdrawals from smoking isn't even nicotine. I brought myself to the edge of OD with my vape and had a puff on a cig, the wave of euphoria was mind blowing and the OD symptoms were alleviated instantly.

I have pretty bad ADHD aswell, this was a shock to hear in one of the videos, I have been watching for a while now and doing DIY.
I can say for sure that nicotine does benefit me for restlessness.
I used to smoke years ago, many folk that have ADHD end up being smokers as it is a form of self medication for ADHD symptoms, ADHD people tend to have much lower dopamine and norepinephrine levels than "neurotypical" people. Being away from cigarettes for 6 years and using my vape but
Nicotine salts give me terrible mouth ulcers, freebase is the only way haha.

I'm sorry for the guy who wrote in, ADHD is so much harder to deal with than people understand.
I hope he is okay and wish him and his girlfriend all the best.

IDK..I find I was more addicted to freebase vaping 3,6 mg than 12 mg salt..but its 2020 n now we know salts enters the blood stream differently I was really feeling the freebase hang on longer n was chain vaping more..with the salt I felt the buzz instantly but I'd forget then remember "oh yeah..my vaporizor is on the shelf" The freebase I never put it down.. So both have their faults but I'd never recommend vaping 50 mg salt unless your trying to quit 2 packs a day.I DIY my juices too n seem to be happy with 12 mg(that's what the ave ciggs has) I mix at 70/30 and I don't need to cloud the room up every second and don't feel addicted to it as much. The flavs on the other hand I like more than the nic.I used to vape 50 mg juul- then 25mg then 6 mg freebase I was really enjoying..This 12 mg salt is about equal to the 6 mg but buzz is here n gone within a minute- maybe that's not a good thing if your chasing that enormous quick buzz but I guess I'm not one of those people-i used to be…that 50 mg caused the teen vaping crisis n still does with those disposables.. I think they should step those den to 25,18,12 ..not sure 25 is enough to help quitters but still packs a punch.I've never smoked so I don't know but that 6 mg I was going thru so much juice for some reason..now I hit the 12 mgsalt, put it down for ten min n hit again..I've tried 3 mg n 6 mg salt but don't really feel anything. If u don't diy tho, you,ll never find salt in under 25 off the shelf n that's not really a great thing so I get that point Wayne. I get mine in VG base100mg n mix a bunch of 120 ml,12 mg salt- FA Blood orange iced with drop of apple n pear to break up the citrus for my ADV and Blueberry cheesecake with drop of French vannila n Carmel for dessert 8)…The other day I went to clone the 7 daze Watermelon/apple iced and the drip tip stuck inside the apple concentrate n dumped half the bottle all over the scale and in the mix and had to salvage it by making it 180 ml instead of a 30 ml LMAO- that was yesterday come to think of it and I still can't get the drip tip out of the cap?..very bizzare thing to have happen(Tfa apple concentrate)But that blood Orange is so good for a creamsicle mix..you pointed me to that concentrate, Thank you Wayne!!

I was still in early recovery, about 3 years. And my sisters boyfriend said that exact thing about starting to vape, because he thinks it would help him, to a T of what that person said. I'm hitting 9 years this October.

I stay in ZA and in the last 2 months there has been a massive passive aggressive advertising campaign by Vuse systems. Every gas(petrol) station /convenience store now has a very colourful stand dedicated to essentially NIC Salts. Funny thing is the devices are priced very attractively but the pods work out to more expensive than smoking. I am skeptical about Nic Salts and I won't ever try them.
