This video articulates the gist of the following: THC acetate ester (THC-O-acetate, THC acetate, O-acetyl-Δ9-THC, THC-O, ATHC) is the acetate ester of THC. In recent months, a synthetic compound derived from hemp called THC-O acetate—often referred to simply as THC-O (pronounced “THC oh”)—has quickly gained popularity among Americans who don’t have access to legal cannabis. THC-O products are increasingly popular in states where consumers don’t have access to legal cannabis. THC-O’s appeal lies in its potency and its legal status. Research has found that it’s roughly three times stronger than conventional THC. Because it’s derived from federally legal hemp, THC-O products are becoming increasingly popular in the states where consumers don’t have access to legal, state-licensed delta-9 THC products. To derive THC-O from hemp, first CBD is converted to delta-8 or a similar THC modification. But it goes one step further. By adding Acetic Anhydride to the mix, it becomes an acetate—specifically, THC-O. What does THC-O feel like? How is it different from delta-8, -9, and -10? Delta-8 and delta-10 are both milder, and generally less intoxicating, than traditional delta-9 THC. THC-O is significantly stronger than not only delta-8 and -10, but also regular THC. Some consumers have reported a more spiritual high with strong effects that can even border on hallucinogenic. Like any drug, effects and tolerance are going to vary from person to person. THC-O acetate, or THC-O, is a synthetic analog (or chemical twin) of THC. That means that although THC-O is indeed a cannabinoid, it’s not naturally occurring and can only be safely manufactured via contemporary cannabis tech. THC-O is derived from federally legal hemp and contains no delta-9 THC. THC-O’s potency and chemical composition, however, do suggest an uncertain future. THC-O, though derived from hemp, is technically analogous to a Schedule I drug (cannabis), and could arguably be a Schedule I drug itself based on the 1986 Federal Analogue Act. As long as its supply chain can be traced back to federally legal hemp, though, THC-O exists in enough of a gray area to slip under the regulatory radar, for now anyway. THC-O (Tetrahydrocannabinol-O-Acetate or ATHC), one of the most dynamic cannabinoids on the market, causing a buzz in the industry. THC-O helps with pain relief, anxiety, nausea, and stress. THC-O or THC-O acetate is a cannabinoid derived from hemp that has created quite the buzz across the industry or states that have yet to legalize. THC-O is gaining ground with those who have a profound love of psychedelics. It’s more psychoactive than delta-8, delta-9, and delta-10. That preroll won't be 3x as strong because they made it according to the strength difference and dosed it with that in mind so comparing that preroll is not going to reflect the difference. Now let's say you had a thc-O distillate and a Delta 8 distillate. 10mg worth of each on separate occasions….or 5mg, or whatever but the point is doing this is the only way to truly understand the potency difference.

So, I got some orange soda THC o shatter. Let me tell you that stuff is soooooo smooth. The smell is like lemon soda though, the taste was all but nonexistent. And true to my past experiences with THC o it's like a creeper. It took about 10 15 mins to hit.

I imagine eating eat is alot more potent. I've been smoking on it for about a week now and I personally can't say it's "stronger" than delta 9 but it's definitely different. It gives less of a paranoid high that 9 gives and is more sedative. It definately makes you feel more "interpersonal" though so I guess that could be bad for some folk. I like it and it gives me a very good high but I wouldn't say it's necessarily stronger.

I accidentally bought a D8 cart with THC-O in it. I thought it was nothing went to the mall and my vision was shaky and felt super hot. I do recommend eating that day before puffing. Way more psychoactive than D8 for sure .
