I would argue that there is a significant difference between nootropics and smart drugs. The confusion between the two categories is one of the reasons why people never try nootropics. They confuse cognitive supplements with prescription “smart drug” medications. This creates a stigma around nootropics and skews expectations. Rather than a prescribed medication, nootropics are more like over the counter supplements for your brain…

Think about it like this. Many people take daily vitamins. Many others take workout supplements for recovery building muscle, joint health, and to boost physical performance. Many people take supplements to help boost their immunity…

Around the age of 25-30 most people begin to experience cognitive decline. Your brain has two types of intelligence: static intelligence and dynamic or fluid intelligence. Static intelligence is like your typical IQ, how much knowledge you already have learned, memory and information recall, etc… on the other hand, you have dynamic or fluid intelligence which is your brains ability to learn new information, make new connections, pattern recognition, etc. as we get older, we retain our static intelligence, what we already know; but our fluid intelligence, or our ability to learn new information decreases rapidly. There are things that can help prevent this rapid decline like consistent exercise, healthy diet, etc. nootropic supplements can help you retain your dynamic/fluid intellect as we age. But again, this isn’t a Limitless hack. It only provides you with the building blocks necessary for growth. To use another analogy, you can take workout supplements all you want, they provide the building blocks necessary for fitness; but without consistent exorcise they remain only building blocks left unused. You have to train your mind like any other muscle in your body. In either case action is required, you don’t become smart just by taking nootropics and laying around; likewise you don’t become fit just by taking exorcise supplements and lazing around on the couch watching Netflix.

I've been a casino dealer for nearly ten years (in total, not consecutive) and I can easily agree to Nootropics improving memory recall, focus and a faster ability to implement mathematics/analyzation skills. I have an extremely noticeable difference when dealing on a heavy weekend game of Roulette, which requires; a tremendous amount of focus, the ability to do fast math, memorization of payouts and the ability to watch people while dealing to make sure the game and money are secure. Having the ease of access to memorize what someone looks like, how much money they spend/cash out, what they're wearing and how long ago they left money on the table in case they haven't returned for a while. I feel totally in sync with everything while on nootropics and in fact I find it much easier to perform intentionally and accurately.
That being said, I also don't take them everyday. I tend to use them on busy days or when I'm working on a project at home, working on a car in the garage or when I'm evaluating companies in the stock market. I've been using nootropics for over ten years and I haven't noticed any side effects yet.

All cited are men… Nice for them. What about consequences of this up-up male behaviour elsewhere/later in "the world" they create, for children, women, birthing, for those who can't afford the pills, the billions of people "left behind" and Below in Society, sometimes in the manufactures fir those pills? See Pr Robert Sapolsky.
What about side effects on female health? Can they keep UP that high permanently without damage? Apparently not: they are not in this video.

Same with amphetamines (speed) Inexhaustible energy, gives more confidence to yourself. Easy dealing with people. You are sharp. Disadvantages: Gums pull up, don't want to eat, 0heating of your body, insomnia, finally loss of vision with long use.
